Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. Earns AS9100B / ISO 9001:2000 Certification
(Miami, FL) Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. announced today that it has achieved AS9100B / ISO 9001:2000 certification. The certification was conducted by SGS Systems & Services., a quality management systems registrar.
AS9100B, an internationally recognized aerospace quality management system standard developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), is a key element for conducting aerospace business on a global basis. To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a quality management system (QMS) embracing the activities of the company from staff training to taking the instruction from the customer, the design and development of products, the purchasing of materials and services and the delivery of the products and services. Certification to AS9100B reinforces to customers through an independent third-party that Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. operates in accordance with the aerospace standard and with the ISO 9001:2000 international quality standard.
Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. began its upgrade from ISO 9001:2000 to AS9100B / ISO 9001:2000 in mid-2007. As part of the upgrade process, Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. updated procedures, added forms, and ensured compliance to the AS9100B / ISO 9001:2000 before the 3rd party assessment by SGS Systems & Services. SGS Systems & Services Certification performed on-site assessments; examined Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. documented procedures, and audited its overall operations. To determine continued compliance with AS9100B / ISO 9001:2000, SGS Systems & Services Certification will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. business operations.
Aero Hardware & Supply Inc. has over 60 years of experience distributing Aeroquip brand products. Currently, Aero Hardware & Supply is an authorized distributor for Eaton Aerospace's Conveyance Systems Division. Products distributed include aerospace hose assemblies, clamps, couplings, flanges, Stanley Burbank internally swaged fittings, SierraSwage externally swaged fittings, Stanley Gamah couplings and flanges, Rynglok fittings and repair systems, bulk hose, and hose assemblies. In addition to distributing the above products, they have an approved FAA/TSO hose shop capable with QPL capabilities.
